I often recommend to filmmakers that they dress nicely when they are directing. I think that especially when you’re the director, you should dress like a grownup who knows what he or she is doing. Here’s some great advice to that effect from Paul Feig, Jesse Thorn and Adam Lisagor. Holler!

The Varvatos versions I had were pretty comfortable but they had EXTRA padding. We’ll see how the feet hold up in these. FYI: Saturday’s a slow day in the blogosphere.

A great fashion designer passed away today. If you think you don’t know what he’s done and are not a “fashionista/o”, rest assured that you’ve definitely seen and appreciated the style he’s given celebrities and everyday folk.
Lee Alexander McQueen, CBE (16 March 1969 – 11 February 2010[2]) was an English fashion designer known for his unconventional designs and shock tactics. McQueen worked as the head designer at Givenchy for five years before founding the Alexander McQueen and McQ labels. His dramatic designs, which are worn by celebrities such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga, met with critical acclaim and he won the British Fashion Designer of the Year award on four separate occasions; he was awarded the CBE in 2003. McQueen died at his home on 11 February 2010.

Unless you breakdance, it’s been pretty tough to rock Pumas for quite some time. This new line (called “Urban Mobility”) changes it all up. I endorse. Click HERE for more pics.

That’s a quotable from fellow Brick City artist Redman’s “Yesh, Yesh, Y’all”.
Listen HERE … it’s in the 2nd verse. FYI: I live by that line!
Before I knew there was rugged footwear without a Timberland tree, I thought these boots were maaaad corny. But I’ve gotten older. I’ve gone classic. They look clunky at first, but then you get used to ‘em and realize, “I’m doing my thing in these here Red Wings”. Even the Dharma Initiative supplied them to the folks on the island in Lost.
Anyway, just a shout out. Not providing any links for purchase since they’re not paying me. Google it yourself and cop ‘em if you fancy.

…or earlier if I find myself in another climate. Shouts go to Epiphany for keeping me comfortable while directing these projects.
