As if her print campaign for Calvin Klein Envy wasn’t sexy enough, Zoe Saldana is now uncovering even more of herself in the steamy new commercials for the iconic brand! In three unique mini-films shot by Mikael Jansson, the sultry actress is featured in conversational moments of undress as she reveals little known details about herself. Not only is Saldana the star of the sizzling videos, but she also had a hand in writing each script. Zoe’s new commercials for Calvin Klein Envy will debut on cable television in the U.S. just before Sunday’s 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards. — Andrea DeSimone

I wonder what folks will be doing for me in the year 2177. The world’s gonna be a pretty crazy place by then, but last night in NYC Team Epiphany put together another celebration for the man behind the gin. It’s safe to say Charles Tanqueray did not picture anything like this in 1810, but nevertheless the brainpower in the place was off the charts, between creatives and executives, and the drinks were well designed thanks to mixologist Kali Erwin. Been looking through the Boards Mag list of Top 10 Directors for 2010 and stumbled upon this ad. Interesting in being provocative, telling a story, and having a message. Thoughts?

Benjamin Ahr Harrison and I teamed up on the co-directing/producing tip for this campaign you will soon hear more about. In the meantime, check out my arm and the slate above. Pretty cool stuff. We had great talent on camera in Brandhyze Stanley and then our team of folks including Leyla Rosario (DP), Chris Dadap (Assistant Camera), and Wayne McElroy (grip/gaffer). We’ll hit y’all with the 4 video campaign when it’s all said and done. And to think we shot this right after #indiefilmbootcamp!

This is fairly remarkable. I want to offer this as a service to some of the musicians I work with. We’ll make a 30 second version of the video and advertise you!
